  Male Voice Taster sessions:
The York City Gospel Choir is currently looking for male voices to sing Tenor.

You are invited to attend one or two rehearsals as a taster. If you decide to join after the session(s), an audition will not be required.

You don’t need any previous experience and all vocal abilities are welcome.

Rehearsals are held on Thursdays 7.30pm in Clifton, York. Please register your interest by contacting the Musical Director.

Number of Visitors

The York City Gospel Choir was formed to celebrate the powerful and inspirational tradition of gospel music. The 40-member choir, under the direction of of Kofi Mensah and Heather Mensah, has a growing reputation as one of the foremost choirs in the North of England.

Drawing on the best musical talents from the many communities and churches in and around York, the choir performs a range of traditional and contemporary gospel.

The choir is dedicated to promoting and sharing the joy of Gospel music around the world.
